Turkmen Jewellery

The Turkmen (Turkoman) people are an ethnic group native to Central Asia, living mainly in Turkmenistan, northern and north-eastern regions of Iran and Afghanistan. Turkmen jewellery is most often characterised by high-quality, fire-gilded silver, embellished with carnelian stones. These contrasting elements give Turkmen jewellery its striking appearance. It is very collectible.
