Antique Cameroon Bamum Bronze Tobacco Pouch
A stunning antique tobacco pouch/medicine container with lid from Bamum, Cameroon, crafted in bronze in the early 20th century. It is likely to have been crafted using the lost-wax casting method. The design is unusual and very striking and features a stylised menorah (representing the Jewish faith). Leather fringing completes this amazing item. Beautiful patina. A wonderful collector’s piece.
