Attractive vintage Tuareg silver ring crafted in Niger in the 1980s. This ring is very ornate with hand-engraved tribal motifs on the head, shank and band. At the centre of the head is the Yaz symbol highlighted in black enamel, an important emblem of Amazigh (Berber) identity. The shape (taken from Tifinagh script) resembles a person with raised arms, symbolising a free human being. A beautiful solid ring with patina. In very good vintage condition.
