Colourful Bohemian (Czech) glass bead necklace, made in Mali. It comprises flat multicoloured glass beads originally made in Bohemia in the 1800s that were subsequently used in African trade and at a later date made into necklaces like this along with other more contemporary glass beads. Some of the old beads are patterned, some plain. An attractive necklace that slips easily over the head for wear.
