A stunning old pair of silver Uzbek earrings, hoop shape with an oval ornate element on each and old silver dangles with coral beads. The oval element resembles an eye with a central carnelian ‘pupil’ surrounded by turquoise bead ‘lashes’. One carnelian bead is slightly darker than the other due to the natural variation in the colour of carnelian stone. The original clasp is on the hoop but in their lifetime these earrings have been adapted for ease of wear by also adding thinner removable ear hooks (0.6 mm in width), giving you a choice of how to wear them (see photos).
