Decorative large Tuareg 'Bella' pendant amulet, made in Niger/Mali in the 1960s. This lovely vintage high-grade silver pendant is finely etched with traditional geometric tribal motifs. It would have been worn by the Bella women as an amulet with perceived protective qualities. Very hard to find a Bella pendant now, especially one with such an unusual shape. In good vintage condition with wear and patina. The last photo is of similar pendants in the MAP jewellery museum, Marrakech.
