Vintage Fulani/Hausa Tribal Ring, African Sahel
An attractive vintage high-grade silver ring worn by both the Fulani people (also known as Peul, Fulbe) and the Hausa people of the African Sahel (Nigeria, Niger and Mali). This unique heart-shaped ring is heavy. It features copper inlay around which has been creatively etched a floral/leaf design. It has a lovely serrated double band. A very artistic piece with a lovely patina. The last photo is of a similar rings in the MAP Museum, Marrakech.
