Rare large antique Kazakh pendant with fire gilding, made in the early 19^th century. This outstanding piece has traditional Kazakh silver decoration with fine silver work raised motifs. It has genuine granulation. The flat circular surface of the pendant is lightly gilded with a lovely aged patina. The elaborate motifs on the raised surfaces are still as intricate and beautiful as ever. Two long dangles adorned with coral complete the piece, along with a beautiful connected link chain. Wear commensurate with age. A highly collectible rare piece of ethnic adornment. The last photo is of a similar pendant in the MAP Museum, Marrakech.
