Old Moroccan Silver 'Hand of Fatima' Khamsa (Hamsa) Pendant with Salamander - Large
A striking large silver khamsa with moulded salamander from Tetouan, Morocco, made circa 1970. The salamander is a protective symbol, perceived to protect the wearer from all harm. The chiselled patterns feature flowers and strong tribal motifs. A lovely unique item, made of high-grade silver (tested). Collectible. Genuine old khamsa such as this one are now increasingly difficult to find in Morocco.
