Antique Moroccan Handmade Belt - Rif
This is a beautiful rare 1930s tie-dyed kourzia belt made by the Jebala people in the Rif Mountains of Morocco. It is made of soft wool and cotton and tie-dyed in the traditional way, combining natural henna and saffron dyes to give a stunning unique design and colour palette. It has long neatly plaited fringes at both ends. This belt would have been worn folded in half lengthwise. Wear is commensurate with age. It is a unique and very collectible item.
