Old Silver Akka Beads, South Morocco
A collection of four silver vintage beads from Akka, South Morocco. They are likely to have been worn as necklace components or as hair adornment, tied into tresses. Each bead is made of high-quality silver (tested) and is very ornately decorated with fine filigree work and granulation. Two of the beads are similar, showing enamelling on opposite faces, the other two are also similar to each other but slightly smaller in size. They all have a lovely patina. Each bead has a bale. Beads like these are becoming increasingly hard to find.
